Strathard receives community benefit funds from the Bruach Caorainn Hydro Scheme. The funds are administered by Strathard Community Trust, and the closing date for the next round of applications is August 31st 2019.
Following the award of grants totalling £4,600 in March this year, up to a further £4,000 will be available, with individual grants again between and £1,500. While smaller projects can receive 100% funding, we expect larger projects to bring contributions from other sources.
The Trust is also administering funds provided by Scottish Natural Heritage to support outdoor recreation and nature conservation in Strathard. Projects meeting these aims will be jointly supported by the two funds together. Full details and applications forms are available at www.strathardct.org.uk/new-grant-scheme-for-community-organisations
Applicants are also encouraged to contact the Trust secretary, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an initial discussion.
Katinka Dalglish, chair of Strathard Community Trust said:
‘We were really pleased to support four projects earlier this year, ranging from production of a book of local walks and environmental improvements in Kinlochard, to support for Trossachs Search and Rescue and the Wee Trossachs Library. We’re looking forward to more ideas coming forwards over the summer!’.
